Inside-Out Photography captures life's timeless moments - family portraits,
weddings and events, class reunions, parties and events, bands and
vacations - you name it, and Nancy Ottinger has photographed it and created a
cherished memory for her valued clients.
Inside-Out Photography is located in Johnson County, Kansas, in Overland
Park near Kansas City, Missouri - as well as Olathe, Shawnee, Stilwell, Mission,
and Leawood. Nancy travels from Denver to St. Louis, Minneapolis to Dallas, from
Des Moines, Iowa, to Omaha, Nebraska, serving her clients as one of the
Midwest's premier wedding and fine
art photographers.
Nancy says:
“From the time I was very, very, small and took my first picture with my dad’s Brownie, I’ve been hooked. I suffered through the era of Instamatics until I got my first manual Canon SLR in 1978. Throughout the 1980’s and early 90’s, I enjoyed portrait, sports, landscape, and wedding photography. Taking time off to raise my sons, and after allowing God to carry me through my battle with breast cancer, I’ve now come back to photography and am enjoying the incredible creativity of digital capture and darkroom techniques.
I believe that your true spirit can be captured in posed or candid images, and that much can be said for either. That’s why I always do both. The current buzzword in photography is photojournalism. That simply means capturing the event as it happens. Even when shooting a “formal” group shot, I am always looking for the candid moments as well. It is also helpful to remember that some candid-looking shots are at least partially posed. This is usually necessary with larger groups. So please don’t get too hung up with the terminology.
